The response continues following the tragic dormitory fire in Endarasha.
We are grateful to those who have stepped in to support NSCDR and the disaster efforts including:
- Pankaj Foundation: Delivered 50 First Aid Kits.
- Kenya Red Cross Society: Providing emergency response and counselling.
- Reset Technologies Limited: Mobilised external counsellors.
- MP Shah Hospital: Supplying essential medical consumables.
As we continue to respond, your organisation can make a meaningful impact in the following areas:
1. Counselling Support:
We urgently need sustained counselling services for:
- Parents and families
- Students
- The Endarasha Community
- Law enforcement and government officials involved in the response
2. Medical Consumables:
Additional medical supplies are required for ongoing post-fire treatment. We will share a detailed list in following updates.
3. Policy and Legal Strengthening:
Despite existing fire safety policies, enforcement and governance gaps remain a major challenge. We are seeking partners to help build the enforcement capacity of the State Department of Education’s Quality Assurance through ICT tools and training programs to ensure compliance and prevention in the future.
How You Can Help:
By partnering with us, your organisation can drive long-term change, not just in relief efforts but in preventing future disasters through capacity building, medical support, and counselling services.
Let’s work together to protect our communities and ensure a safer future.
